I find it hard to describe Fonts Point to anyone that hasn't visited there before. Photos don't do it any justice. If you look at these two pictures and zoom in to where the arrow points on the second shot, you'll see the people that showed up to watch the sunrise. That should give you a good idea of the immense size of the badlands below the viewpoint.

Last Friday night, my wife and I took a break from the city to spend some time gazing at the stars in Borrego Springs. The moonless sky was exceptionally dark, and the weather was ideal. Ricardo Breceda's remarkable metal sculptures served as the foreground subjects for the night. These two are my favorites, but there are around 130 of these sculptures scattered throughout Galleta Meadows. It's a truly awesome place to visit and explore, with the community of Borrego Springs offering a range of options for food, entertainment, and leisure.

Took a late night adventure out to the trestle bridge in Ocotillo Wells to get this shot. It was a crisp 95° at 10:30pm....

Today we visited Borrego Springs to attend the award ceremony and judges critique for the 2025 Anza Borrego Desert Photography Contest. I got a lot of insight into the thought process of the judges when they're looking over the contestants entries. It was a great time and I took home a 1st place award and four people's choice awards. I've included those photos at the end of the pictures.
