Had a great trip to one of my favorite places in the world a few weeks ago...the Eastern Sierras (mostly around the Mammoth Lakes area, but also a quick spin through Yosemite). I'm finally getting around to posting some of the cell phone photos from the trip. Enjoy.

Next set from the Banff trip. These were taken at Sunshine Meadows. We rode the gondola and then a chairlift to get to the top. There wouldn't normally be that much snow when we went, but they had a big snow year this year and quite a bit that came late. They even opened up for"summer skiing" the day after we visited. The snow was beautiful and the skies were totally gorgeous.

Haven't had much time for photos for a while, but I wanted to post a hawk I recently took from the back deck. They're a challenge, but I like trying to get good shots of these guys.

This is "Blinky", one of our resident backyard hummingbirds. He's in charge of the feeders. His name is Blinky because of a big growth around his left eye that you can see just a little in this shot.

This photo of a Green Sea Turtle surfacing was selected for the 2012 Best of Nature Photography show at the San Diego Natural History Museum's Ordover Gallery. The show runs from early January to mid-May.
