hi! my name’s kaitlyn and i believe the secret to perfect photos isn’t a picture-perfect “cheese” but unlocking an artistry that is only followed by AUTHENTICITY.

see, when i was eighteen, i made a personal promise to myself.

a promise to never cover up who i was in that present, even if it was imperfect by cultural standards.

skin blemishes—i had plenty of those. scars, eczema, discoloration.

clean cut facial lines that trumped the beautifully free JOY on my face because i was afraid to release photos of myself where it didn’t perfectly slope, but curved with my laughter.

i remember one day, photoshopping the heck out of a self-portrait to post. but when i did publish it, i felt like a fraud…no one else knew what i had tweaked, but i did.

i decided right then that i would make peace with my reflection, even though i struggled with healthy skin.

and you know what? slowly but surely, i stopped seeing the imperfections and just saw…Me.

i share this because you can’t lead others where you’re not. and if you’re secretly itching for cute photos but you’re feelin insecure about how you look right now, i want you to know that i see you and i get it and it is okay if you’re not where you want to be.

in the same breath, i also would like to encourage you to continue showing up even as you are evolving.

because the beauty of Becoming is you are unfolding.

unfolding unmet expectations and perfectionist pressure.

the revolution of radically accepting who you are RIGHT NOW gives way to curiosity, vibrancy and freedom.

forgetting the Scarcity standard means moving forward with the fullness of abundance and the truth that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be in this journey.

you are wonderfully made.

and you are worth celebrating in every season. 🦋

rosy skies, rosy blushes. as soon as i met these two together, i instantly felt the love. emily and alex! they’re always beaming and eyeing each other ohhh my. yeah you can feel their love because it’s not just for each other. it’s for life, for their people and for Jesus. it’s just genuinely who they are! and i think maybe, just maybe, that’s the hack for life. fill your heart with love, and perhaps that outlook puts everything else in perspective. 💓
