Today I was the photographer for the Ft Rosecrans Memorial Day Motorcycle Ride. It was a great gathering of mostly Veterans on motorcycles. we had coffee in the morning at Peet's Coffee on Calalina in Point Loma and staged in the parking lot to do a ride of over 200 bikes of all kinds, mostly Harley, BMW, and several Japanese bikes as well. It was a very friendly event, and everybody left their egos at home. Everyone enjoyed a good time. We did the Pledge of Allegiance, had a prayer, and my friend Pierrr did a short announcement before the ride. There were riders from as far away as Temecula. After the ride, several riders continued to Mt Soladad, then most of the riders finished the ride at San Diego Harley-Davidson, where they fed us all burgers and dogs. Someone donated their 2005 Yamaha Motorcycle as a raffle item to raise money to donate to the Ft Rosecrans memorial . one of the last photos is me standing on a 5 foot cement block to get the group photo I made from 5 seperate photos, I needed a little help getting down while holding my camera rig . thanks to the helpers.
