Skids to my eyes is the underdog of the 84 bots, I mean he appeared on the animated series but was very much under the radar, he was more shown in the Marvel comics. But, at least to me, he came to prominence in More Than Meets the Eye and Lost Light comics, become one of my favorite characters.

Although this is a nice update to Laser Optimus Prime, I wish they had added a couple of things to the mold, like moving fingers like the Earthrise Prime figure, also a nice blaster rifle would have been welcome and have the 5mm peg holes be on the side of the arms instead of under. Don't get me wrong I like the figure, it is very poseable and I'm glad we had the trailer that turns into a battle station.

I never read the G2 comic book, my exposure to Jhiaxus was woth IDW comics. A mad scientist who would experiment on poor bots. From what I understand he was pretty formidable in G2, and this figure is so amazingly awesome! The sculpt and articulation are on point! And of course he will come and show the Decepticons who is the fittest to rule!
