This week has been incredibly difficult. Thank you all so much for your kind messages and condolences about our little Hippo. I am so grateful for this community and the way you show up during moments of grief. You guys get it, and your support feels like a warm blanket when we need it most.

If you missed it, this wonderful little family is staying together and will all be adopted tomorrow. I am so grateful that even in the midst of such a heartbreaking and unexpected loss, the rest of them get to remain together. Many many many thanks to the adopters who didn’t want to see them separated. 🩶

With all of Hippo’s fanfare, I absolutely need to bring some much deserved attention to her siblings, Buddy & Polly! 🩶

Buddy is a full grown man at just 3.5 weeks. With a thick, round skull and a voracious “let’s get this bread” attitude, he’s going places. Literally.

Polly is much softer, in both nature and physicality. She’s gradually getting the hang of this whole “life” thing, and I fully expect her to blossom into the self-assured gal we’ve already caught glimpses of.
