I’m Kayla, your San Diego Photographer in search of passionate dreamers and couples madly in love with the life they’re creating. When I say creatives, I mean people that dream and they dream big. They have these incredible talents, visions, and business ventures they share with those around them. Whether they’re running a locally sourced winery, putting together fun patterns to mix our wardrobes

up a bit, or making artful realms full of floral elements and such - they’re creating their brand and vision. They bust their asses day in and day out because they are truly passionate about their craft. Now to love. I am such a sucker for a love story. Everyone has a different, unique, and beautiful story of how they became intertwined. There is nothing I swoon over more than having a couple in front of my camera and getting to live in their little world for a bit. Learning about their lives separately and together, how they show each other appreciation, the little sweet moments they share, every single detail that makes your story yours. I want to show other hopeless romantics, like myself, that a type of love as beautiful as yours is possible.

MY STORY

Hello & welcome to Golden Bloom Photography. I'm a Midwest native, previous So-Cal resident and adventurer, and now an East Coast local in search of all things beautiful.

I was born and raised in Northern Indiana. Soon after graduation, I followed one of my dreams of moving to San Diego. While living there I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life. Now, here we are living in Bethany Beach on the opposite coast with our cute pup, Cali.

I love life and the beauty of it. I learned early in life to cherish every moment and every person (and pets, of course) you surround yourself with. That's why photos mean so much to me because it's a memory that lives on.

My goal is to capture those genuine, beautiful, candid moments. I love being able to show people the beauty I see in the world. Most importantly, the beauty I see in them. That moment when you show people your photos and they see what you see behind the lens is indescribable. That is why my passion for photography has grown over the years. Whether I am photographing soon-to-be mothers, newborns, toddlers, seniors, couples, bloggers, even commercial work, there is beauty in that story.
