Flashback Friday to one of my favorite sessions with . It was scorching outside, about 1000 degrees 🤣. But in all seriousness, despite the heat, we discovered a perfect location on the side of the road. We timed the session for about 15-20 minutes. Marquese (the model) embraced the challenge, and the finished product exceeded my expectations. This image holds significance for me because it symbolizes the belief that one day, I’m going to touch the sky.

Also thanks to my homegirl for joining us. She was going through that day but she was a great support.

In the early months of last year, I embarked on a collaborative journey with an extraordinary woman. Her unwavering passion and commitment to connecting with audiences and offering support have been a constant source of inspiration for me. As time has progressed, my admiration for her has only deepened. Her knack for conceptualizing and flawlessly executing ideas knows no bounds. It’s truly remarkable. Reflecting on the night this photo was taken, it unfolded a few months into my third child’s postpartum phase, where I grappled with the shadows of postpartum depression in silence. Bound by the fear of judgment and the societal pressure to portray maternal perfection, I veiled my internal struggles Driven by an urgent need for release, I seized my camera and a solitary strobe light, granting myself permission to immerse in the raw emotions of that moment. It became a cathartic journey—a visual narrative unfolding through the lens, each click echoing the complexities I dared not speak.

Photography, once my refuge for boundless creativity and unfiltered curiosity, now finds me entangled in the pursuit of trends. The profound stories that images can articulate have taken a backseat to the clamor of conformity. In rediscovering the essence of my art, I strive to break free from the stifling embrace of trends and once again let the narratives within my images breathe and resonate.

Instafam!!!! It’s so good to be back! I see that I have some new followers please allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Naomi but some call me Nomi. I am based out of sunny San Diego, CA. Born and raised in Miami Dade. I specialize in couples and maternity but this year I am venturing out to branding photography.
