The desert is such an endless source of inspiration, joy and beauty.

Here’s some work that I made in Anza Borrego and Jacumba during the past few months, which culminated in a group photo show last weekend with some dear friends.

Everyone’s sharing year-end recaps, but I wanted to pause on something different.

When I’m genuinely excited about the work, personally and creatively, I notice how it shows up in the room.

I slow down.
I listen more carefully.
I create space for people to feel grounded instead of “on.”

That’s often when clients tell me the process feels calm and clear, and when the images begin to reflect something deeper than a brief.

The projects that stayed with me this year weren’t just about strong visuals. They were about trust, shared language, and long-term thinking. These are a few of those moments.

Looking ahead, I’m most excited about continuing to build work that evolves with the people behind it.

To be out in nature, working as part of a creative team, is my happy place.

Back in February I set a goal to photograph a tourism campaign this year.

Just 3 months later, I got a call from to shoot the ad campaign with — some of the most collaborative and creative folks I’ve had the pleasure of working with in my entire career.

The best client work always starts with curiosity.

This year I’ve been diving into creative play: test shoots, designer collaborations, architecture tours, and even leading a lighting workshop with my crew. Each project has sharpened my eye, added new techniques to my toolbox, and connected me with incredible creatives in the process.

Whether it’s working with athletes, designers, or fellow photographers, every collaboration makes me a better partner to the teams who trust me to bring campaigns to life.
