Adrian and Maria, I’m truly grateful to keep telling your story.

Golden hour in Austin has a way of slowing everything down.

The light softens. The noise fades. And for a moment, it is just the two of you, exactly as you are.

Most of these moments are gently guided. I give each couple space to move, to interact, to be present with each other, while offering subtle direction when it is needed.

What unfolds is something real. Honest, unposed, and fleeting. The kind that does not ask for attention, but holds meaning for years to come.

A few recent engagement sessions from around Austin. Each one different, all rooted in something real.

Hired to photograph a courthouse wedding.
Ended up making a Wes Anderson film by accident.

Maria and Adrian had so much personality and the courthouse had so much character that I couldn’t help but pull out a second camera and capture a few clips as a surprise for them.

A simple day. A unique couple. A little creative detour.

Proof that you don’t need a big venue to create something memorable when you lean into the moment.

From shaded paths at Redbud Isle to sunset views at Mount Bonnell 🤍
Such a fun evening with these two, ending the night with golden light and big laughs. I’m already counting down to their wedding later this year in Honduras. It will be my first time visiting, and I couldn’t be more excited. Looking forward to celebrating with their family and friends, soaking in a new place, and telling their story all over again.

There’s something really special about getting married at

Right in the heart of downtown Austin, you’re surrounded by skyline views, yet tucked into a historic home that feels warm, intimate, and full of character. It’s a rare combination. Old-world charm and city energy living side by side on one really unique piece of property.

The house itself brings so much texture and history, while the outdoor spaces open up beautifully for ceremonies and celebrations under the trees. It’s the kind of venue that feels equally at home during a spring garden wedding, a summer evening celebration, or a cozy fall gathering.

Timeless, charming, and unmistakably Austin. A place that invites people to slow down, connect, and celebrate well.

There’s a common misconception that documentary style wedding photographers don’t pose photos.

The truth is, I care deeply about when to step in and when to step back.

Most of the wedding day I’m responding to moments as they unfold naturally. Watching. Listening. Letting things happen. But family portraits are different, and honestly, they’re some of the most important photos of the entire day.

This is the part of the timeline where we slow down a little. We become more intentional about lighting, composition, location, posing, and styling. I’m choosing where we stand, how the light falls, and when to make these images so they feel timeless and well crafted.

These are often the photographs that get printed large. Hung in homes. Passed down. Because of that, they deserve patience and care. They deserve to be done really well.

It’s also one of the rare moments on a wedding day where we truly have control. Control over light. Over settings. Over process. Which makes it a beautiful opportunity to explore things like shooting film and creating portraits that feel more like art than documentation.

But beyond the technical side, I love family photos for what they represent.

It’s a pause after the ceremony. A moment where everyone comes together. The energy is still high, the emotions are still close to the surface, and the love that brought everyone here is fully present.

That’s worth slowing down for.

Weddings aren’t about poses.
They’re about moments.
The way it felt to be there.
The quiet glances. The deep breaths. The real emotion.
