This was my first major piece of art I purchased for myself, for my first home in 2003-2004.
I purchased it from DILLARDS Department Store @ River Center Mall. Back in the day they used to sell beautiful furniture and custom furniture.
I paid $95.00 on clearance, It had been a store display.

It inspires me daily and I have had so many offers from others to buy it, because I arrange my room using it as the inspiration and color pallet.

I wish I knew who the artist was, the sku number, title, etc are on the back but his signature looks like JASON.

I may never know, and the painter may never know that he is my inspiration, and was my first dip into the art collecting world

A photograph I arranged, shot, and later framed for a young ladies salon area.

What makes it work?

- The polyester mink background in millennial grey
- the bottles are all exactly the same
- lids are all black
- colors are all shades, hues, tones of red

If the colors were all different colors it still could have worked IF they were all the same tones:
- Neon
- Pastel
- Primary
- Jewel
etc.

If you have colors from everywhere, tones, then hues thrown it, that creates brain chaos and comes of as unprofessional, cheap, or messy.

Lets say the colors were exactly as pictured, however the bottles were all sorts and colors, it still may work and not cause brain chaos because the background is solid, AND the colors are all derived from white and red.

It is the small things in life that we see when our and about, that can be used in our home to elevate our decor.

Instead of having a drawer or bowl sitting around near our coffee bar looking a mess, we can have a lovely container just the right size for all sorts of sweetener packets. They are organized, visual without being chaotic, colorful without being gawdy, and posh enough for your guests to take notice.

The year I made Fancy Castle Worthy Harry Potter Gryffindor plates for a client!

Created with Thrifted Glass French Dessert Plates. A print was used and placed on the back of the plate. Then I hand painted the plate backs white and gold in the Gryffindor Colors.

The client wanted me to create 30 more, however, I could not source the same plates as these were one offs. Had I known she wanted several more, other plates with full set would have been chosen.

ALSO, due to it being a copyrighted image, I did not feel comfortable making that many, two for her to use and not resell was one things. However, I could not guarantee the plates would not be resold and had my artist name on them.

Lawsuit I did NOT need lol. U get Me!

In the 2000s I took a wonderful Flower Arranging Class. I learned so very much.

Still today family and friends buy bouquets and bring them over for me to vase them. A bouquet can go from "Thank you So Much" to now I have to shove them into a vase and they look horrid.

With the techniques here I am able to create beautiful arrangements, and keep them alive for weeks at a time.

The best thing about knowing how to do this is that one bouquet can make up to 3 full flower arrangements depending on the vase!!!

One for home, one for office, and one for ur mom!

The year of 100 Rememberalls.

I was working with another company to create these for their mystery boxes.

I used vintage glass clear ornaments, Vintage Red Glass ornaments, or Plastic Clear ornaments, inside there may be swirls of Organza, satin, chiffon, or tulle to give that swirly effect without having actual liquid inside.
They were painted with 24 K gold paint by hand, I added Jute/Hemp natural twine.
The cards were printed with eco friendly ink and cut with a cricut. I edged them with an inkpad by hand.

How this happened: I ended up thrifting & being gifted 100 ornaments of red & clear & gold. Not needing these ornaments I partnered with a local shop who needed these.

The fabric was all scraps or remnants from Costumes I created over the many years I was a Costume Designer.

They wanted the Harry Potter Experience but not spot on (copyright reasons), and they wanted a vintage old world feel, not perfect, a bit wonky, and antique looking.

They LOVED them and I was pleased that I was able to rehouse all of these amazing antique and vintage ornaments, fabrics, etc & they did not end up in a landfill leaving us forever chemicals.

I decorate Homes of every size and budget. This little Bedroom closet was a project given to me by a client. The little carrier was thrifted and had been loved.

I cleaned the wardrobe well, sanitized it, and used Cricut Vinyl in black and Textured Gold to upcycle the actual unit.

Renewed, and painted thread spools were used as displays, as well as wooden Chilula Hot Sauce bottle tops.

My little client LOVED her Case, Wardrobe, Portable Closet, Store

How to decorate a Small Apartment or Town Home, Cheap and make it look MONEY! This set up was 2019 in a small townhome with no space for a tree , but this wall was empty!

Here are some tips:

1. You need a Tall Skinny Tree
2. Go to any Box Store the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS bright and early. I got this beautiful one for $20.00, a few years ago I got a $400.00 pre-lit flocked huge tree for $10.00. U can 2.
3. Stick with a theme so it doesn't look too chaotic and blends with your other decor. Here I went with Red and Silver for them.
4. Stick with the theme don't go off grid with no map!
5. This tree was a bit sparce, I filled it with poinsettias Red & Silver, and other white and silver picks (small flower or foliage on a stick or wire). These were literally stuck in the tree and held in place naturally. Super easy.
6. They wanted the Gifted Snowman on top of the tree but it has no hole. I simply hung it from the ceiling over the tree so it looks like it was the tree topper.
7. To top it all off choose solid lighting. One color is less chaotic, and more cohesive. If you can afford it get yourself a long strand of lights, that change colors with a remote, as well as twinkle, blink or stay solid. They are an investment and can be used year after year.
8. You NEED a tree skirt, It can just be a tablecloth, sheet, blanket or cut fabric put nicely around your tree, just so it looks nice until you get you gift on.
9. Choose Gift wrap that matches your decor or your home around the tree.

These are the tips and tricks posh rich people, major hotels & organizations use.

Our first year of marriage, Most of our ornaments, garland, skirt, and Christmas decor was thrifted from various charity shops, garage & yard sales, and gifted from family members. I think we maybe spent $30.00 that whole year.

I used all of the techniques above and the kids thought that we had won the lottery! No Momma just knows how to shop responsibly! And so can you
