Filming at Old Burton Mill is something I keep thinking about.

There was a certain weight to that location from the moment we started setting up. Between the original structure, the aged wood, the old industrial feel, and the history tied to the building, it felt like we were walking into something preserved in time. Looking at the historic photos and then standing inside the mill ourselves made it all feel even more real.

What stuck with me most was the atmosphere. It was calm, but never empty. The kind of place that makes you slow down, listen closely, and respect the space you are in. It felt less like we were just filming a location and more like we were stepping into a story that had been waiting there for a long time.

Experiences like this are why we do what we do.

We weren’t ready.

In Columbus, Texas — a town marked by bloodshed and buried secrets — we encountered something darker than we’ve ever faced. Locals speak in hushed tones about a spectral presence known as The Lady of the House, said to linger in the shadows of an old home near the heart of town.

What started as a focused investigation quickly spiraled into one of our most intense and chaotic nights. We captured chilling EVPs, unexplained movements, and emotional shifts that only grew stronger as the night progressed. Something was watching us… and it didn’t want us there.

Using the Estes Method, spirit boxes, EMF detectors, and infrared night vision, we attempted to make contact with this entity — a presence that may be tied to deep-rooted trauma or something far older than the house itself.

Just as the activity began to escalate, nature turned on us. A violent thunderstorm rolled in with winds reaching 90 mph, forcing us to flee Columbus before a possible tornado could touch down. Paranormal activity wasn’t the only danger we faced that night.
