We're honored to welcome **Portrait of a Veteran**, an incredible organization dedicated to preserving the stories and legacy of our nation's veterans through professional photography and personal interviews.

They'll be on-site taking **professional portraits** and sharing more about their mission.

**This opportunity is open to ALL veterans**, not just American Legion members. If you're a veteran—or know a veteran who would like to have a professional portrait taken and learn more about this amazing program—we encourage you to join us!

🎖️ **American Legion members:** Please wear your Legion hat, polo, vest, or other Legion apparel so we can present a professional image of American Legion Post 911. Let's show our pride and make a great impression!

🇺🇸 We'll also provide updates on our **25th Anniversary September 11 Remembrance Ceremony**, one of the most important events our Post will host this year, as we honor those we lost and the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

🥾 We'll also discuss our participation in the upcoming **Wanderers and Warriors** event and other opportunities to continue serving veterans in our community.

Whether you're a longtime member, a new Legionnaire, or simply a veteran interested in connecting with fellow service members, we'd love to have you with us.

🇺🇸 On this National Purple Heart Day, we pause to honor the courage and sacrifice of every service member who has been wounded or killed in action while defending our freedom.
The Purple Heart, our nation’s oldest military decoration, first created by General George Washington on August 7, 1782, is not an award anyone seeks. It is a solemn recognition of the price some have paid so the rest of us can live in liberty.
At Portrait of a Veteran, we are proud to help share the stories and faces of those who have served, including the many Purple Heart recipients whose bravery continues to inspire us.
To all Purple Heart recipients and the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice: Thank you. Your service and your scars will never be forgotten.
We remember. We are grateful. We will never take your sacrifice for granted.

It’s been a bit since I posted. I have moved to Georgetown but was blessed and invited to do headshots for Hiring Our Heroes today in San Antonio. 138 job seekers stopped by and I was glad I could be there to help them on their journey providing professional headshots for their resumes.

On Korean War Veterans Armistice Day, we honor the courage of those who fought, the sacrifice of those we lost, and the enduring legacy of every Korean War Veteran. We will never forget.

Happy Independence Day, America! 🇺🇸
Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, a bold experiment in liberty that began in 1776 and continues to inspire the world. On this milestone birthday of our nation, we remember the courage of those who declared independence, and we honor the brave men and women who have defended it ever since.
To all our veterans, past and present, thank you. Your service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms make days like today possible. We owe you a debt that can never be fully repaid.
May we never take our liberties for granted. Wishing you a safe and joyful Fourth of July filled with family, friends, and gratitude.
God bless our veterans, and God bless the United States of America.

This Memorial Day weekend, we pause in solemn remembrance of the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
They answered the call with courage and selflessness, defending the freedoms we hold dear. Their sacrifice ensures that generations after them can live in liberty and peace. Though they rest in quiet graves marked by row after row of white stones, their legacy endures in every flag that flies and in every story of bravery we still tell.
To their families and loved ones who feel their absence most deeply: your sacrifice is not unseen, and their memory is honored by a grateful nation.
Today and always, may we never forget the true cost of freedom.
