SO MUCH joy and laughter and love in this sweet family. 🫶 My cheeks hurt from smiling during this shoot AND while I was editing. I am very accustomed to littles that make me work for their smiles - and I don’t mind it at all! But every once in a while, you get a kid that is just all smiles and snuggles for the whole shoot and dang, it is just so much fun! 🥰

Fun fact: these pictures were taken just a couple minutes before we heard thunder and lightning nearby so she had to quickly get out of the water, change, and then we sped our way up the 15 minute hike out of the canyon to avert being caught in a flash flood. And yet she still managed to evacuate the water looking like a goddess. 😍

Photoshoots with toddlers can be intimidating, stressful and overwhelming. But they don’t have to be! My number one recommendation for parents that are nervous about their toddler behaving for pictures is to just PLAY with them. Don’t worry about the pictures, don’t worry about trying to get them to smile and look at the camera. Just have an adventure with them. We’ll capture some priceless candids that way AND it’ll often warm them up to get them willing to do a couple golden “smile-at-the-camera” shots. These parents did an AWESOME job of that during their session 😍 Ended up as one of the most magical shoots. 🫶
