This is exactly why I love engagement sessions. It gives us space to slow down and actually get to know each other—so by the time your wedding day arrives, it all feels easy and natural.

A room full of books, candlelight, and meaningful details that turned a rainy afternoon into something incredibly cozy and romantic.

Josey + Ben’s wedding felt less like an event and more like stepping into a love story that had been quietly unfolding for years.

There were family heirlooms, a corset covered in the most stunning roses and tiny stars, and the kind of conversations that make time slow down a little. The kind where everyone forgets about phones and just stays at the table a little longer.

And honestly? The rain just made it better.

Sessions start at $300+tax (normally $400) and include 1 hour, 2 outfits, 1 location, planning guidance, and 50+ images. Turnaround time is 10-15 days.

In honor of this sweet family session hitting the blog today, here’s are a few of my favorites from my time with The Morlocks.

The Morlocks’ session was a beautiful reminder that when you let go of expectations and allow your family to simply be, the result is honest, emotional imagery that will only grow more meaningful with time.

As a lifestyle family photographer in San Antonio, I care deeply about creating an experience that feels easeful for parents. Being a mom myself, I know how intimidating family photos can feel. You’re investing in something meaningful. Your kids are unpredictable. And there’s often pressure to make everything go “right.”

But the truth is, family sessions don’t have to be stiff, forced, or exhausting. Some of my favorite images come from moments of total chaos. A clingy child. A toddler who refuses to be put down. Kids who would rather run than pose. Those moments tell the real story. When your child clings to you, it shows that you are their safe place. Their comfort. Their home.

In honor of the arctic freeze, here’s a few captures from Vanessa + Isaac’s maternity session.

We powered through a 36 degree wind chill and 15mph winds, and they were still all smiles and so excited to just be there with each other, and take in the last few days as a family of two before their sweet baby gets here.

I pray that a love like theirs finds you all 🤍
