It is finally ! I have been excited to share today’s post. Usually when I’m out photographing waterfalls, I love solitude…solitude to enjoy nature, the flow/sound of water, quiet the mind, and to be completely immersed in a creative mindset. This week was a little different. I participated in a community building experience with Timothy Keeney Photography and . Such a fun bunch! There is a wonderful synergy when enjoying time with others who share your passion to create and to explore the beauty of the natural world! I love seeing the different perspectives each photographer has in the same location!
Tim lead our group on his Connecticut Woodlands and Waterfalls Tour. I greatly appreciate all time Tim invested in creating an itinerary tailored to our group, providing a variety of beautiful falls for us to enjoy! Even though we scheduled by date rather than ideal weather conditions, Tim guided us to our first location for best light, and to our delight, a gentle mist! After, he helped us explore lovely locations we could return to under better lighting conditions. All throughout, Tim was generous with his knowledge of the area and his photographic process.
The challenging lighting conditions invited me to look around the scene to find other beautiful moments and compositions I otherwise would not have seen.
Besides fishing a lens and card wallet out of the river, it was a wonderful and beautiful day! Definitely think it would be fun to do again in the fall….anyone want to join our group?…let me know! If you have your own group, you can contact Tim to book your own custom tour!
Hope you enjoy this glimpse of a small portion of the beauty of our day! The final image of the set is one of my favorite!
