It is so easy to see the beauty (inside and out) in others, but to recognize and know it for ourselves is much more challenging.
I may be terrible at posting my photo shoots, but this was one of my favorites.
I love each of these girls like my own and think they are incredibly strong and gorgeous!

Senior pictures time of year! So exciting! My senior pics were........not cute, and awkward. And I have like 2. When I shoot seniors I sure get happy that he or she will have lots of fun pictures of themselves.
Did you get seniors pics? Do you love them?? I hope so!
These seniors are both good looking AND good people (even better!). Each are going to do great things!

Some more faves of amazing people. {I'm slow at posting some of my work. I don't spend much time on social media.} This field is in my neighborhood. Done a couple others here before, I love the blue mountains in the background with the wide open field. Their colors went really well here.

My daughter, Elisha, turned 8 and chose to be baptized a member of the LDS church. It was a wonderful day and we love her so much. I thought these turned out so fun and cute. You would never know 20 minutes before these were taken she was crying her eyes out about how uncomfortable her dress was.

I loved getting to know this amazing family. Their kids were so cute with me. It was raining in the forest pictures and we were all soaking wet. They still look gorgeous and no one even complained about the weather. Awesome family. Both parents are photographers so I'd be lying if I wasn't a little intimidated!

These guys and I go way back to 9th grade when I moved to Utah. I love them both so much and their kids are adorable. The day I took these pictures I had attended the funeral of a dear friend who died too young. You can never have enough family pictures!
Everyone's colors schemes for these fall pictures have been gorgeous! If you can't go out and buy new clothes (I have only bought clothes once for pics), I find that if I pick about 3 colors around the outfit I want to wear (because what I wear is the most important, ha!), I can always find something that works in everyone's closet (or ask a neighbor!). Colors close to the same shade are just fine and look great in pictures. So if your blue shirt isn't the exact same blue as baby's, it is OK! Don't let lack of clothes be the reason you have no family pictures.

Everyone always worries about how their kids behave for me during our photo shoot. The truth is: I prefer that, for the most part, people don't stress and just let me take care of their kids so parents can relax and focus on their own cute face. And I expect that from anyone who does my family pictures. It is the photographer's job to photograph everyone, not the parent's job. So next time you do family pics, relax, and let your photographer be in charge.
And totally not related to this topic, here is an awesome family....those handsome boys! We are lucky to have them as friends and I had a fun time doing these pics.

I did another wedding. My cousin, Marshall, married gorgeous, sweet, funny, Linda, who just moved to the US from Mexico and spoke hardly any English. She always wanted to get married in the SLC Temple and the ceremony was so sweet. They were just here for a couple days (up from AZ) and it was awesome to see some extended family while doing their pictures. I was pretty nervous to do these photos because it was high noon and the worst light for pictures. But I had such a great time talking to these two lovebirds who made me laugh at every click of the shutter. Do you think the pics turned out cute?
