The Art of Douglas E Draper Jr

The Art of Douglas E Draper Jr What is The Art & Otherness of Douglas E. Draper Jr.? Simply put, it's a collection of creative imagery that strikes my fancy that I also think you'll enjoy.

Be it visuals that are cool, funny, kinda creepy or even occasionally cute. From the illustration of yours-truly to the artwork of fellow artists. From eerie photographs, comic books and underwater sculptures to 1950's advertisements and articles that inspire. It runs the gamut. And that's the goal. No niche, no genre, just coolness. And otherness.

I'm excited to announce I'll be making an appearance at the Scares That Care AuthorCon in Williamsburg, VA this March 29th. Mr. Craig Brownlie, the fine gentleman that he is, has graciously allowed me to hang out at his table for the day. I'll have a number of prints available, some original artwork, and of course I'll be happy to sign your copy of A BOOK OF PRACTICAL MONSTERS. Hope to see you there!

Here we have the final scanned illustration (after a bit more work). This is based on Scott J. Couturier's ALL THE OCEANS, a fantastic short story with beautifully written imagery, solid engaging characters, and a pitch perfect ending. Be sure to check it out for yourself in the upcoming issue of Space & Time Magazine.
