While struggling to keep the T and the B between the two slices of bread of my breakfast BLT, I blurted out that I should have put butter on my bread. The other half laughed and said, "What's that going to do?". I stopped to think why I spoke those words and suddenly found myself standing on the chair next to my dad at the kitchen table overlooking his plate. I was wearing a yellow dress with white saggy tights and blue rubber bumper tennis shoes. "Dad, why do you put that stuff on your bread?" He replied, "That's butter and it keeps the cheese and meat in your sandwich from falling out."

Hmmmmm. Maybe?

And, that's a wrap! The 2026 garden harvest is complete. What's left behind will be bird and critter food for the winter months. Still a chance for a few more veggies if the freeze this weekend is light but sooner or later you gotta say enough is enough. Now, to can, freeze, or ferment. AND EAT!!!! 😋😋😋

Ohhh, the comfort food is back in season. Stuffed green peppers. Ouououlala. 😋😋
