My love for photography began in 2016 with the gift of a DSLR from my husband. The early years of my learning really centered on photographing places. Noticing light, framing for interest, capturing, or rather attempting to capture, the feeling a place or a scene can evoke and preserving it.

Since those early years, my life has changed, and with it, my interest. With 2 young boys and another on the way, I travel less, and instead find myself reaching for my camera to preserve fleeting expressions, tiny details, and the honest, everyday moments that pass far too quickly.

I still enjoy the slow, intentional process of landscape photography. But as I look forward to 2026, I’m hoping to more fully embrace the challenge of capturing those transient, unscripted moments that reflect a season in life or a moment in time.
