This video highlights the TWIN tornadoes that formed and touched down to the east of the Streator, IL tornado. These touched down during the rope-out phase of the Streator tornado. Majorty of the video was taken from E 3200 N Road ( County Road 14 ). I was using 2 seperate cameras to video this segment of the chase due to there being multiple tornadoes on the ground at the same time in different directions. I did my best with the video editing to make as smooth of a transition between footage from different cameras as i could, so if it seems a bit off, thats why.

This was the third tornado of the day that i documented which impacted the south side of Streator, IL. This video highlights the full life cycle of this tornado. Documented for sure 8 tornadoes and possibly up to 12 ( pending nws damage survey ) on storms from Washburn, IL to Mantino, IL. including the Streator and Dwight storms. Extensive photos and videos will be uploaded tomorrow as bed is calling my name. Im exhausted! Was definitely a chase day for the books! Illinois sure didnt disappoint this time!

ALL of Northern Illinois, today is one of those days to really pay attention to the weather. Below is todays tornado risk, much of which is significant. Grated when talking about the weather, nothing is ever 100%, however the parameters for strong to violent, damaging long tracked tornadoes are all at the top end of the charts for later today! Pay attention to the warnings and plan ahead! There will be 2 waves of storms going thru today between approx noon thru 7/8 pm with the second wave having the higher tornado threat. I do plan on chasing later and will provide live updates as needed throughout the day / chase.
