although I know it may seem that way, I didn't sit down one day & say "I am going to flip education as we know it, on its head."
& its taken me a long time to stream line exactly HOW I'm meant to do this work, what is the steadiest stream from where we are now, to safe, equitable, learning environments for all of our youth.
& then, a few months ago, the ROOTS method whispered to me. The ROOTS Method came up out of my lived life—out of the ashes of survival, the ache of being neurodiverse and misunderstood, and the deep calling to create safety where there was none.
ROOTS is an extension of my spiritual practice, of RootWorks, of the truth my ancestors whispered: safety is soil, and nothing grows without it. It is both research-based and spirit-led, because I don’t separate the two. I know the science of the nervous system, and I know the medicine of love and belonging. Both are needed.
I built this for parents who are homeschooling and carrying too much alone. For the mama watching her child shut down when the workbooks come out. For the dad worried his kid can’t focus no matter how many schedules they try. For the caregiver tired of juggling meltdowns, guilt, and the fear that they’re not enough. I see you. I was you. And I refuse to let you keep carrying that weight without support.
ROOTS stands for Relational, Observational, Open-hearted, Trauma-informed, Systemically-aware.
These five pillars are how we build spaces where children don’t just learn—they thrive. They risk. They create. They heal.
This program is not a curriculum telling you what to teach. It’s the foundation showing you how to hold space so your teaching actually lands, so your kids feel safe enough to show up fully as themselves. It’s about transforming your home into fertile soil, where your child’s gifts can take root.
