Once my father showed me how to use it I contracted all my friends to be my models and had a field day with it! After college my passion grew and I realized I wouldn't be happy until I was able to share my passion with others. With the help of family and fri

Photographing at Sly Park in the fall feels like a love letter to my soul. On my way out, I often stop just to soak in the beauty of where we live. I’m so lucky that I get to share these incredible locations with my clients and now, I get to bring my own kids too. Fun fact — I was obsessed with sunflowers growing up. I had sunflower wallpaper, sunflower sheets…the whole thing 🌻 My mom loved them too and would sneak into my garden to plant seeds in random spots. I miss that. Definitely adding sunflowers to my garden next year so I can think of her.

For our main team shoot, I envisioned a secret garden styled shoot with the team, and this location perfectly embodied that dream. Kayla's dress choice felt like it came straight from our vision board, complementing the backdrop flawlessly. We experimented with shooting through a pair of tights for a vintage, filmy aesthetic, and the gate shots are definitely some of my favorites from the session.
