Throughout my life, growing up in northern California, traveling all over the western states, backpacking throughout the west, and many other adventures I have been witness to some of the truly beautiful spectacles of nature. And be it be the most dramatic sunrise or just the way water splashes off a rock in a stream, the simple beauty of nature is always there waiting to be discovered if only we

can take the time to look. I am always looking... to capture that perfect moment and, in my own way, preserve some tiny glint of the beauty of nature so that I may share it with the world in hopes of inspiring at least one other person to go outside and have a look around.

I apologize for neglecting the page the past few weeks. I have been doing a lot of work with film lately and have been having so much fun with it that I haven't gotten around to digitizing any of the images yet. I will hopefully have some new images to post in this coming week.

I went out last week with my vintage Kodak 3-A Folding Pocket Camera. Of course this camera was built to use Kodak 122 roll film, which was discontinued in the spring of 1971. So, with commercially produced film now unavailable, I have been working on some conversions to allow me to use readily available film stock on this 100 year old camera. Last week I was shooting with 120 roll film loaded in the camera. And while the 120 film is considerably narrower than the old 122 film, it should create some fun images with the negatives being a 6cmx14cm panoramic format. I hope to have some images posted here by the end of the week, as one of the biggest challenges is learning how to process and deal with this larger film format and over sized negatives.
