I remember that almost desperate desire to know what my babies looked like before they were born.

I didn't perform any ultrasounds, aside from a doppler every once in a while, so my curiosity was peaked throughout each pregnancy.

Who would they look like? What color hair? What color eyes? What shape of lips? I wanted to know everything. And, yet, I didn't even know if they would be a boy or a girl.

But I chose to wait.

The anticipation was almost unbearable. And surprisingly wonderful.

Seeing, smelling, hearing my babies for the first time was incredible. Getting to know these new souls was the best feeling I've ever had. I wouldn't change it for anything. Those are some of the best moments of my life. It's indescribable. Profound. The highest high you will ever feel. Ever.
