Aside from her expansive resume and leadership roles, Darcy is just an awesome person to chat with—very down to earth, approachable, humorous, sincere and just knowledgeable. You definitely want Darcy to be in your corner for any advocacy matters!
When I photographed Darcy, I really had limited options given the weather and office space but fortunately they had this amazing picture-poster that showcased women protesting. I was compelled to use it as the backdrop to signify the voices of women who have paved the way for equal rights and inclusivity.
Darcy joined CCSWG in 2019 as the Director of Communications. She has over 20 years of experience in crisis communications, journalism, public policy, and external affairs. Darcy led the external affairs efforts of the first-of-its-kind Women’s Recovery Response grant project, building partnerships and developing the campaign to raise awareness and support for the needs of women in the ongoing pandemic.
Darcy also holds a bachelor’s degree from Mills College in Photography and Visual Communication and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Journalism.
