A little birthday magic for Juliana 🖤📸

This shoot felt extra good because it was one of my first times picking my camera back up after taking about a month off from photography. Photography is my second job — hair will always be my main career — and between the two, I could feel myself getting burnt out and losing some of the creativity that made me fall in love with photography in the first place.

So I gave myself permission to put the camera down for a little while.

And I’m SO glad I did. 🥹 I’m finally feeling creative again, excited to shoot, and actually looking forward to everything I have coming up instead of feeling overwhelmed by it.

I’ve got a few really fun shoots planned and FOUR weddings this fall that I cannot wait to capture. 🖤

Sometimes you just need a little time away to remember why you loved something in the first place.
