Hey there! 🫶🏼 I’m Alexys, the face and heart behind the camera!
If you’re wondering how to pronounce my name, it sounds just like “Alexis”… but my mom wanted to make it a little more fun with a “y.” 😆
I’ve been photographing a little bit of everything over the past five years, but my absolute favorite sessions are families. I love the chaos, the love, the joy— all of it.
Last night I was scrolling through old videos on my phone and came across clips of my kids from years ago. It hit me so quickly how much they’ve grown, their voices, personalities, all of it has changed. My family gets photos taken every year, and those galleries mean everything to me. That feeling of getting them back? I want every mom to experience that. Because these seasons move fast, and freezing even a tiny piece of it is so, so special.
If you’re wondering what a session with me is like, I could write a whole post about it 😆 but honestly, I believe word of mouth says it best. If you take a peek at the reviews here, you’ll get a pretty good idea of what you can expect… and I’d love the chance to be your photographer!
When I’m not working… I’m probably still working. 😂 I’ve always been someone who loves to stay busy. I balance a full-time job outside of photography, being a wife, a mom/bonus mom to three amazing kids, and loving on our fur baby, while still finding time for the things that bring me joy.
I’m a sucker for a good yard sale or thrift shop. Nothing makes me happier than someone complimenting my outfit and getting to say, “Thanks, it was 25 cents!” (true story 😆). I love cooking, afternoon runs, wandering through TJ Maxx, and getting lost in a good book. So far this year I’ve read Verity, The Housemaid, and The Midnight Library and I’ve got a whole stack waiting for me on the book shelf!
I also love incorporating flowers into sessions. 🌼🌸 My current dream? A backyard oasis filled with a flower garden where I can walk outside, cut fresh blooms, and bring them into my kitchen.

Like I mentioned in my last post, photography has a way of bringing people together.. and this is such a perfect example of that! 🥰
In 2018, I signed up for a gym membership at Anytime Fitness and ended up hiring Ali as my personal trainer. I’m the kind of person who starts a workout thinking, “10 push-ups sounds great,” and then two in, I’m like… “okay, 5 is enough.” 😅 So yes, I definitely needed her. Anyone else relate?!
A few years later, Ali reached out to me to photograph her maternity session with her sweet Ava, and I’ve had the honor of capturing a few more special moments for her since then.
Now getting to photograph her maternity again feels a little bittersweet in the best way. Watching her journey into motherhood and getting to document it is something I’ll always be so grateful for.
Forever thankful to know you, Ali. Thank you for making me run, lunge, and anything else I didn't love doing. 😆

Years ago, my son Colten attended Friendship Community Care, where he received three different therapies from some of the most incredible women—one of them being Hollie, the mama pictured here. 🌼

I always looked forward to walking in each day and hearing updates from his teachers about how he was doing. One of my favorite things about Friendship was how much Colten truly loved being there.

I’m so grateful for the connection Hollie and I built all those years ago. She made a lasting impact on both of our lives. It means so much that photography has a way of bringing people back together. I loved seeing you again, Hollie, and meeting your beautiful family. 🥹🙌🏻
