Gone for hours.

Located with a drone.

After a long chase, we were able to help get her owners into a position to catch her. These situations are not always “locate and recover”. They are long, difficult and strategic efforts that result in these positive outcomes. Understanding lost pet behavior is key in bringing these situations to a positive conclusion.

Beatrice was the 2nd drone recovery of the day!

JASPER went missing yesterday evening, dragging a 50’ lead. Many hours of drone searching last night and again today. No sign of Jasper, no sightings and no new information. I felt strongly that because of the lead he was dragging, he was tangled in the woods somewhere and due to thick foliage and vegetation, he was not visible with the drone.

A plan was put together to search some specific areas on foot. Just minutes into walking into one of the areas I believed he could be stuck, I looked up and saw Jasper. He was sitting there looking at me with his lead wrapped around a tree.

The drone is not always the answer. I will say that experience from countless lost pet searches was key to understanding how to deviate from the original plan in order to bring Jasper home.

The photo shows Jasper when I found him. Boots on the ground is a must when a dog goes missing with a leash or lead attached.

Awesome team effort with Jasper’s family and friends made this happen.

Mooooo!🐄This day old calf suddenly disappeared from its mom. The owners searched for hours with no success. We were able to locate her with the drone laying in the tall grass in a hay field and get her back to mamma. ! 🐄

Almost there. A little more and the Portage County Water Rescue Team will be able to purchase an underwater drone for use in their operations. This will be a fantastic tool for underwater searches and will help keep divers out of the water in some of the more dangerous situations.

OSCAR -The Uniontown community was looking for this little guy for 4 days. No sightings for 3 days leading up to the drone search.

This shows just how effective a drone can be under the right circumstances.

Milestone find for Portageview Drone Services. ~5️⃣0️⃣~

On Sunday, we went to Uniontown to search for Oscar, who had been missing for four days. He was only seen one time after going missing, almost 3 days prior to the drone search. We located him with a drone in a brushy area, adjacent to a large section of fields and woods.

We have assisted in getting home many other lost pets in many different ways, but Oscar was #50 that we were able to locate from the air, strictly by use of a drone.

Thank you to everyone who supports what we do and has trusted in us to assist when their pet goes missing.

BEATRICE - Drone doggo #2 for the day. Missing for about 6 hours in the Clinton area. What a great community that came out to help this family today.

After finding her with the Drone, it took about an hour to convince her to go home. Glad to see the family back together.
