As a photographer who is new to this journey and as someone who is fiercely loyal this this beautiful country, one of the things I really struggled with was what to do when I'm shooting an event during the national anthem. I debated in my heart long and hard until someone finally told me, "Take the picture. You're preserving a moment of respect and honor that's being shown to our flag."
So if you see me with my hand on the shutter instead of my heart, just know that is me....honoring Old Glory in my own way to the best of my ability ❤️🤍💙
