I was born and raised in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Western Wyoming where I developed an immense love of nature and wildlife. Together with my husband we have been blessed to live in Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Kansas, Germany, and now Northwest Arkansas with our 4 children. Through all our travels, my love for the unique beauty that nature has to offer, in its various forms and in diverse locatio

ns, has only intensified. I've dedicated myself to finding the unscripted beauty in the world around us, no matter where I am. I believe in unscripted beauty and realistic natural art. What creative artistic licenses I take with my work is done in the camera with minimal altering or editing done in post processing. There is a unique beauty in the unscripted and unedited. I am here to share that with you.

I’m slowly working through my Navarre Beach photos and I absolutely adore ICM/abstract beach photography!

This is just a little preview from a phone camera capturing my computer screen because I don’t want to wait until I get around to converting it from my raw file.
Just a nice motion blur of the beach at sunset. 🌅

I love how ICM photography makes it feel so serene!

In The MIST ~

Would you ever think of making art out of kale? This one really was unique. It’s actually Frozen Purple Peacock Ornamental Kale foliage that was in a bouquet I got last autumn. I had never seen anything like it before. It looked like a tree to me. I knew I had to photograph it.
As each layer of ice formed the scene slowly took shape. I photographed it from all angles, and several different ice depths. But the story that kept returning was that of a mystical tree in a magical land on a foggy misty morning.

What do you see?

My last Bearded Iris that bloomed this spring. I have lived here for 5 years and I’ve never seen this patch of irises bloom before- but this year they did and THIS was the stunning blossom!

What do you do when you are obsessed with flowers? You buy a garden bed and create your own flower garden so you have a better supply of flowers to photograph!

Here’s hoping they grow and thrive! The odds are slightly against me with all the squirrels 🐿️, birds 🦅, and deer 🦌. Plus my own bad luck with gardening 👩🏻‍🌾. But I’m still hoping! 🤞🏻 and praying 🙏🏻 😂.
Wish me luck 🍀!

I’m a little obsessed with how the light hits this orange ranunculus.

This beauty was from a stunning bouquet from I picked up at .homewares a number of weeks ago when spring blossoms were still strong. And it was just begging to be photographed!

I love shopping local and supporting our local flower farms, but I’m also looking for new botanical spots around Bentonville/Rogers area. Any hidden gem nurseries or gardens I should check out?

Captured in my Northwest Arkansas studio AKA my backyard deck in the afternoon sun using the Sol 45, on my Z8.

Feeling a little dramatic today- because I was just blessed with my first homegrown Dahlia blossom!
I’m rather excited and proud because I battle a herd of 🦌 deer 20+ strong that travels through our yard every morning and evening. So I am limited to growing in pots on my deck balcony where they can’t get to the flowers. But even then I also have to fight the squirrels digging everything up after planting. It’s quite a challenge. I’ve lost half of what I planted.
I didn’t know if this would work, but I’m thrilled to see some results!

Captured in the afternoon in the brief pause between severe southern thunderstorms on Nikon z8 using velvet 85mm lens.

What is your favorite kind of Tulip?
I just had my first experience with fringed tulips and I’m loving them! So much texture! And much to my surprise they have the sweetest scent! I’ve never had tulips with a scent like this before!

Whether fresh, or frozen in Ice, they know how to make a statement. ❤️

Thank you for hooking me up ! I’ve really enjoyed these tulips you introduced me to last week!
