There was a man who lived ninety-five years,
And on his tombstone was written this verse:
Here lies the body of a very good man,
Who lived and died with no great plan.
He lived and laughed and loved and gave,
And in his ninety-five years on this earth,
He tried to make the world a better place,
And left the world a little bit better than he found it.
The dash between the years of birth and death,
Is what really matters, not the years in your life,
But the life in your years.
It's the dash that represents the time,
Between the day you were born and the day you die,
The time to live and love and laugh and give,
To make the world a better place and leave it better than you found it.
So when your eulogy is being read,
And your life's story is being said,
Make sure the dash between the years,
Is full of life, love, laughter, and tears. ❤️
