This small butterfly is a Phaon Crescent. They only get to about 1.5 inches in total wingspan.
Seen here hanging out on their host plant, Frog Fruit.

Photo taken 8/13/26 in my backyard :)

Just to note: My very suburban yards are 90% native ground cover.
No watering, very little mowing - just to keep it neat & edged. And my yard is normally full of pollinators fluttering & buzzing about! ❤

Went to watch the sunset at Airport Park in Rockport this past Saturday night.

These specific photos highlight a lovely couple that I met while there. I hope they enjoy seeing them!

PS- Felino Diaz Mendoza, please let me know if you & Kimberly decide you want any prints. I can have them done professionally & trust me...... They will be a lot nicer than going to a local pharmacy-type place!
