Reflections of Rockford-ARS Pvblica, Improvisation

From their page; Ars Pvblica is “a forum of literary and performing arts, theories, speculation, and inventions “.

At an ARS Pvblica event several artists will present their craft. After the performance the audience and artists discuss the events of the evening.

This ARS Pvblica featured artists improvising their crafts. There was comedy, dance, poetry, painting, and music. It was a lot of fun. Go check out their social media for future events.

Reflections of Rockford - Gilded Paradise at Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens

Artist, designer, and fellow Rockfordian Kelvin Candie II put together the first ever fashion show at Nicholas Conservatory.

The show, Gilded Paradise, featured local designers Kelvin Candie II, The High and Mighty, RKFD, Cre8tive Genius, Allegre de Pilipinas, and Cleta Berryhill.

Gilded Paradise was a unique and beautiful experience. (Hell, it was the first fashion show I have ever been to and it was a great time.) Congratulations to all involved with the show! You put on a fantastic event. You did Rockford proud.

Big thanks to Kelvin Candie II for allowing me access to the show. Job well done, sir.

Reflections of Rockford- Ars Pvblica

Ars Pvblica

I attended Ars Pvblica this weekend. It was neat. The show was called , Between The Art of Science, The Science of Art. Featured artists gave examples of their craft and discussed how science relates to their work. The event was held at The Underground Gallery in downtown Rockford.
Ars Pvblica has more events and themes planned for the future. So keep an eye out on their social media if this sounds interesting to you.

I can be having a s**t day, though I’m guaranteed a smile every time I pass the reindeer.
