It turns out Sunday’s race at East Moline BMX Speedway was rough on both Peterson brothers. Here’s younger brother Kam wiping out during the flag parade in the same turn his brother crashed in.

I've maintained a strict policy regarding crash and injury photos. If a crash resulted in an injury serious enough to require hospital treatment, I would delete the images.

However, after receiving requests from riders and parents, I've come to understand that some riders want to see those moments.

Going forward, I'll contact the rider and/or their parents before sharing photos of serious crashes. If they wish to receive the images, I'll provide them. Otherwise, the photos will be deleted.

This sequence happened Sunday afternoon at East Moline BMX Speedway. Myles P. crashed hard right in front of me. He is currently waiting for a wrist fracture to heal. A recent BMX Racing League graduate stopped mid race to check on his buddy. Amazing sportsmanship at a young age!

I stopped because I saw a Wood Duck. I intended to try to get a few pics and accidentally took 400 ( it happens).

I’ve narrowed my favorites down to these but can’t decide which I like best. Help me decide by hitting the like tab on your favorite!

I was out for night two and then again for the finale. I’m always amazed to see how much skill and confidence these new riders build over a few short weeks!

The earlier sunsets have allowed me to get some more practice with low light action shots.
