On our way to to a great day of hiking we passed through Rural Hall, NC and the home of the L&Cs sister railroad the Yadkin Valley railroad. A great display of unique power from former Union Pacific SD70s to Former CSX SD60s, the GP40s and one of the KLWs more unique creations the 1998! And some truly beautiful and historic rolling stock!

Notes: there was some great cars in this train. From a wide variety of grain cars and covered hoppers with fallen flags to MOW gondolas. But the heavy duty flat car probably took the cake.
