Summer’s end. This summer I have lived in pure delight of being with those I love in really beautiful places. And while it was a dream and so much fun that I don’t want it to end, it brought me to a much needed place of seeing.
Of seeing those directly in front of me in the very moment. Of seeing the most beautiful pieces and parts of God‘s creation. Of seeing how small I am and how big God is making His love for me even more miraculous. Of seeing all the years of this family, of my own life even, all the good and the bad, as his perfect, sovereign, good plan.
Of seeing so much fear in myself that I didn’t know existed. Of then seeing that fear for what it is. Of seeing the need for having grace for myself as the Lord walks me through it all. Of seeing Him do this by simply pulling me closer to Himself. Of seeing his great care and specific knowledge of my heart by having me study and memorize Psalm 16 that addresses all of my realized fear in the deepest way.
Of seeing the world, His great big, beautiful world and sharing it with people I love so much it’s palpable. Of seeing there is truly no good apart from Him, no rest apart from Him, and knowing in His presence, there is fullness of joy. ✨
