Sometimes, life is very unexpected.

One morning, im working on photos, and in the next minute, im being called downstairs because there’s a kitten in a box being brought to us. 😅

So, for those eagerly awaiting on the Lake Elmo album, I’m still getting those done! I’m hoping to have them done tomorrow, but with now having a *very* young kitten to help take care of, please allow me the potential leniency of extending into next week.

I am steadily chipping away at some of the photos I took during the Lake Elmo show!

This was such a fun and busy weekend- especially for my first time being an official ringside photographer. I do apologize if I ended up missing any breeds due to time conflicts, but I can't wait to share what I was able to get!

**I am hoping to have photos done by the end of next weekend, but may need longer depending on my work schedule.

In other news, I realized slightly too late that it was world photography day, and all I’ve gotta say is that I feel so thankful. 🩵

The day I picked up a camera and took some pictures of dogs playing with frisbees, something clicked- and it wasn’t just the camera. I realized very quickly that this felt right. I’ve always been a creative individual who has explored the arts all my life, from drawing, painting, to even writing, and while I enjoyed those hobbies, nothing truly stuck the way photography did.

If you would have asked me even some odd months ago if I would be surrounded by such love and support from friends and strangers alike who *enjoy* my photos, I would have laughed and said, “yeah, right.” but that’s become a reality!

I feel so lucky to have gotten to know so many more people after taking up this new avenue. I still have so much more to learn and do, but I feel comfortable and happy where I am right now. I get to take photos of dogs doing all the things they love, and immortalize them forever.

Castaway Images started as just an idea, named after my personal dog, Wilson, who was subjected to being my muse and inspiration when I was just starting out. He’s been so incredibly patient and truly the best model I could have asked for- so much so that a shutter sound will get him to turn his head and pose… 😅

But again, thank you to all of my amazing followers who stalk my galleries when I’m neck deep in editing… it means the absolute world to me.

And thank you for 100 followers. 🩵

Rejoice! The galleries are finally here!!

For my friends who attended both Sibley and Brown for DDNS, I've decided to combine both of the albums, so make sure you check everything to make sure you have all of the photos you're wanting! This will make it so you can mix and match from both county fairs.

There are also some photos from the tennis ball drop- those I've opted to be free to download. Memorial photos in honor of Lily are also included in the folder, which are also free.

It is once again such an honor and a pleasure to photograph for DDNS. Thank you guys for being such a wonderful, welcoming club! I hope to be back at it again next season. ☺️
