THIS IS REGARDING THE BUCODA/CENTRALIA BESS SITE SO IT CAN BE SHARED

Quick update as I am not feeling well the last few days, but I wanted to make sure I got this out there ASAP! I have also shared it with the Chronicle and hope they will have this posted soon for all their readers!
Here is the information for the Public Hearing regarding the Bucoda/Centralia proposed site, coming up September 16th (and 18th if there are enough comments to fill the day on the 16th). We all need to make comments, preferably on the Zoom, not just written comments. We need to overwelm the Hearing examiner with all of our concerns and point out all the facts that are wrong with the SEPA determination and MDNS, that is what this appeal has been filed about.
Here is a few tips, that I hope helps:
#1) Read the appeal that is on the Thurston County Court website that we filed so you have an idea of what it is about.
#2) Ask questions here if you need further clarification so we can try to help you and answer them.
#3) And then write up your comment. Send one in by email and plan to attend the ZOOM hearing to point out your comment and summarize the parts about it that are most important to be heard. Speaking can be nerve wracking and it is easier for some to present it and not forget your points if you have written it up to read from.
#4) You don't have to be the best speaker, you don't even have to say a lot, but what we do need is for people to speak up and show a presence. Show them that we are not going to keep quiet about this! That is one of the biggest impacts!
#5) Remember, we raised almost $4,100 for this appeal! Let's make it matter! Let's Win this! Be the Change, not just Complain! Together we can do this, look at what we have done so far!
I am posting the Public Hearing info and an updated flyer. We are updating the website and Petition to include the Appeal info for the Bucoda/Centralia site information. Below are useful links to all the info.
I will be planning a community meeting in Bucoda, hopefully before the public comments deadline and hearing to bring more awareness and get more supporters from Bucoda and Tenino. We are still collecting signatures regarding stricter regulations. Share this with everyone and everywhere!

TODAY is the last day to bid on auction items! Bidding closes at 8pm PDT. A few important notes —

1) we removed the categories so it’s easier to browse everything 🙌 givebutter.com/ffauction

2) we have it set for “popcorn” style bidding, meaning, if a bid is placed in the last 2 MINUTES of the auction, the timer for that item (and only that item) automatically extends the auction by 1 minute. 🍿

For example, if someone bids on the quilt at 7:59pm, the timer will keep that item open til 8:01 so people have a chance to counter bid. And if someone counter bids, it extends it another minute each time.**

**An item can be extended up to a MAX of 5 minutes. So if bidding continues in the last couple minutes, an item may be open for bidding up to 8:05pm at the latest and then will close and whoever had the highest bid at that time will win.

3) in the event of a tie, the person who has the timestamp showing they bid first wins.

4) items can be picked up in Tacoma or shipped anywhere in the US. Shipping is a flat fee or may be free depending on how high bids go (see each item for the minimum to earn free shipping). If you win multiple items we can work with you to figure out a fair shipping cost to ship everything together.

5) we will invoice people via email Friday evening and payment is due within 48hrs.
