Earlier this year, I had an amazing opportunity to work with sponsors to create paintings for two rooms at the Ronald McDonald house here at Arnold Palmer Hospital for children. They are redecorating the rooms, and a part of that process is having sponsors choose an artist to complete a painting for their room. I was lucky enough to be chosen twice!

For the first piece, I was told that the room would be decorated in honor of the sponsor family’s beloved daughter who was only a toddler when she passed. They asked that I just make it “pink”. This scene is just where my mind took me as soon as I heard their direction. I hope it brings peace and comfort to the sponsor family, as well as any families that stay in this room during hard times in the future.

The second sponsor that chose me was an auto dealership. They previously had their room decorated with old car parts, so to stay in theme with their room, I chose to paint some abstract car details. It was a new type of painting for me but I like how it came out and I hope any families staying there enjoy it, too!

I still can’t believe I got to be involved in such a project, and I am both honored and hopeful that my small part helps someone in some way. ♥️

I am so excited about this.

I am digitally drawing a bunch of butterflies I previously painted in watercolor. I can now make my own prints and 😍😍😍🤤
