🌼✨ Golden hour, wildflowers, and the kind of love that radiates from the inside out 🌿📸

I had the absolute joy of photographing this beautiful bunch in a dreamy flower field (conveniently right in my backyard), and let me tell you, my heart is bursting. From laughter-filled chaos to tender in-between moments, these photos capture a bond that’s playful, strong, and so full of heart.

These sessions are what I live for: natural light, as unposed as possible, and genuine connection.

What a joy it was to passively capture my very first reception for a couple I adore! 💛

Here’s a sneak peek from the Ridenour Reception. After a sweet ceremony in Arizona this February, Nila & C**t hosted a beautiful celebration closer to home so loved ones could join in the fun. It was filled with warmth, laughter, and all the little moments I love to catch—candid and detailed alike. ✨

🍂 Fall is around the corner, and I’ve got a few more practice shoots coming up—but I’m also planning to open up portrait mini sessions soon! Thinking a full day in Versailles State Park during peak leaf season (and maybe even a snowy version ❄️). Hi friends! I’m Jenn—owner of Opal Light Photography—and I’m finally stepping into this dream of mine. 💫 I’m easing into the world of photography and loving every second of it. Later today: a big ol’ photo dump of my first shots! 📸

This page is where I’ll share work I do for fun and connect with folks who want a photo experience that’s calm, comfortable, and truly them.

Real talk: I’m an anxious girly. I get how weird and vulnerable it can feel to be in front of the camera. My goal? To make space where that pressure melts away. I always bring the comforts (snacks, waters, fans, seats—you name it) and usually have a buddy with me because I don’t love solo travel. That energy? It’s all welcome here.

I’m here for the big moments, the in-betweens, and the messy, beautiful realness of it all. From headshots to family chaos to sweet hellos and hearfelt goodbyes—I want to help you remember it forever.
