“Can you help me find a dress for family pictures?”

Absolutely.

In fact, it’s one of my favorite parts.

Because somewhere between finding something that photographs beautifully, feels comfortable, and doesn’t require ordering twelve dresses online… most moms are already exhausted.

So I’ve done the shopping for you.

One less thing to think about.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think we notice the changes while they’re happening.

It’s only later that we realize the baby cheeks disappeared.

The missing teeth showed up.

The white dresses turned into opinions.

And the little girl who used to hold your hand started walking ahead of you.

That’s why I love photographing children at every age.

Not because they’re staying little.

Because they’re changing.

As a Savannah newborn photographer, I fully support anything that involves someone else doing your hair and handing you coffee.

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t think beautiful and lived in are opposites.I think that’s actually the goal.

Yall my friend just shared that her toddler dropped her iPhone in the toilet 😭

DriveSavers saved the day, but apparently recovering thousands of photos is… not cheap.

And honestly this stressed me out for all of us because I know most of us have entire childhoods sitting in our camera rolls thinking:

“I really need to print these someday.”

Meanwhile the albums at my parents’ house are still doing just fine 😂

Anyway. Make sure your photos are backed up to the cloud AND that your cloud storage isn’t FULL because apparently that’s important information now.

This little yawn might be the sweetest sound I hear all week.

Newborn sessions may be slow and peaceful, but babies always show us their tiny personalities from the very beginning. I love when they give me these soft smiles and sleepy stretches. The bonnet, the heirloom rattle, the white layers. Everything about this feels classic, simple, and full of sweetness.

Nothing sweeter than a newborn tucked into soft whites and precious details.
