fall break is finally here, so i was able to catch up on editing some shots from cole’s recent meets. as if cole couldn’t surprise us anymore than he already has with his performance, he most certainly has done it again. in cole’s most recent invitational cross country meet, he reached a new personal record of 17:27 for a 5K race 🔥👟

on the road to sub 17 and coming close to college admission decisions, we are all so excited to be a part of this journey with cole and support him through trials and triumphs. he has proven to be dedicated to the sport, and surely will continue to excel with endurance and performance.

i don’t know what is more impressive, my brother’s athletic abilities and endurance or being able to edit these photos in the midst of my senior year of nursing school. regardless, let me brag on my brother for a minute👏🏼

cole started his senior year off participating in cross country for the first time to stay conditioned for track season in the spring. when i tell you he came out of the gate with surprises the very first meet, that is no exaggeration. cole came in second place with a slim margin between his and first place’s time! in addition to this and cole’s positive progression over the years, 50+ colleges have expressed interest for his athletics and academics, ranging from D1 to D3 all across the country. to say i am so proud of cole’s athletic and academic achievements is an understatement, he is more than deserving of all the good things that come from the hard work he has put in.

our sweet lilly 🤍

i had the honor of taking end-of-life photos of my grandmother’s dog, lilly, who was put to sleep yesterday evening. after a long lived battle with degenerative myelopathy, a disease that progressively breaks down the nerves in the spinal cord and causes paralysis, her soul has finally been set free.

lilly was a part of our family for over ten years, giving us endless laughs and sass over the course of her life. she loved her pop-tarts, stealing socks, and running around in the corn field of the old house. having her around was like having a piece of my grandfather within arms reach, even when heaven is so far away. words cannot explain how much we will miss having her around, but it brings me peace knowing that my grandfather and great grandmother are there to meet her on the other side 🕊️

if only yall knew how hard it was to fight the urge of being the loudest in the audience to root for my brother in order to take good photos. if you know me, i am sure you can imagine it was quite the experience 🙃

cole, my little (big) brother, recently competed in the VHSL track and field state championship in june to represent king william high school! i had the privilege of snapping some photos during his races, and i finally came around to editing a few. i am so excited for this year’s track season for cole as a senior, and you will most definitely see me in the stands.

ashlee, an upcoming 2026 graduate, gave me the incredible opportunity to capture her senior photos. we made the most of two different locations and i’m thrilled with how the photos turned out.

a huge thank you to ashlee for trusting me with this milestone and for allowing me to be a part of her transition into adulthood. i’m already looking forward to working with her again in the fall! 🫶🏼

hey y’all!

if you don’t already know me, my name is kailey! i am a beginner photographer located in virginia, and i am so excited to share my journey with you. i have always had a passion for taking photos since my teenage years, but as life always does, i have been in autopilot with my schooling and work for years. i was not filling my bucket and doing the things that i enjoy, but not anymore. rediscovering my passion for photography has allowed for me to fill my bucket and all while doing what i love, i am able to capture all the beautiful things in life that you love too! thank you everyone for the support and encouragement i needed to make this happen, and i look forward to sharing my new opportunities and endeavors with you💛
