I’m opening up a few limited spots - 30 minute sessions at $95 - in exchange for allowing me to photograph AND film behind-the-scenes content, videos & reels during the session for promotional content!

I have a family friend, and also client, who was expecting a babygirl - she unexpectedly went into labor at 32 weeks 5 days, resulting in a NICU stay for her sweet baby, Ani.

On the same day that she went into labor, she was also very unexpectedly terminated from her job losing all benefits and coverage for herself and her now, 3 children. She has been super blessed in accepting a teaching position, but that doesn’t start until the end of September - so her and her family are facing a financial gap until then.

Their sweet babygirl, Ani, is finally home from the NICU but continues to need special formula with frequent appointments and ongoing medical care. There are some essentials this family could definitely use some help with, while adjusting to a new preemie at home. I have created a small little Amazon & Target wishlist for them in hopes we can gather even just a few small items to make their lives a little easier during this major adjustment. I have also slipped in a few games for her other two children at home to keep them occupied, while I’m sure they are also feeling this adjustment!

Fresh 48 sessions always leave me emotional.

There is something so incredibly sacred about walking into a hospital room and being invited into one of the most intimate moments of a family’s life.

It’s the way a mother looks at her new baby, it’s the exhausted but overwhelming kind of love that fills the room. Sometimes it’s a new big brother or big sister meeting their newest bestfriend. It’s the quiet, the tears and the beginning of a completely new story.

As a photographer, I’m not just walking into a hospital room to take pictures. I’m being invited into a space that’s raw, vulnerable and deeply personal.

And every single time, it leaves me with tears. Partly because it’s so beautiful, and partly because it reminds me of the same season I was fortunate enough to experience myself, twice.

What a privilege it is to preserve these moments for someone else. 🤍
