This sweet boy is going to be a big brother! 🩵

Child-led sessions are some of my favorite. Between running around, looking for seashells, tickles, and having very serious conversations about which monster trucks are the best (we both decided on Grave Digger by the way), we captured so many genuine + candid moments.

I can’t wait to share more from this beach maternity session! 🌊🐚🌾

I know I’ve said it before, but I have quite a few new faces here since the last time I did, so it feels worth saying again: if you’re thinking about booking a session but you’re hesitant because you don’t think your kids will sit still for perfectly posed photos…book anyway.

Because that’s not really what we do around here.

Kids aren’t supposed to sit still and be stiff. They’re supposed to be curious. They’re supposed to play, explore, laugh, run around, and be themselves.

I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a session with kids where anyone sat still for longer than five seconds at a time 😂 and that’s okay. Because stiff poses aren’t where the magic is anyway.

It’s in all those little in between moments that happen while they’re busy just being kids 🫶🏼

There's something about black and white that makes me fall in love with the art of photography all over again.

When you take away the color, it seems like everything quiets down. The moments that would be so easy to overlook somehow feel amplified. Like stripping the color away gives the emotion more room to take over and forces you to feel what you're looking at.

Or maybe that's just me 😂 Anyways, a very dramatic way to say I love a good black + white photo

Such a fun session getting to photograph some familiar faces from the gym as they step into parenthood 🤍

You could already tell how loved this little dude is and how naturally they've seemed to step into this new chapter.

I love sessions like this where I get to step into your world for an hour, hang back, and capture all the little behind the scenes moments as they happen.

So glad I got to document this season for them ✨

A little sneak peek of this sweet elopement I shot last week in D.C.

It rained, the city was packed, and a couple of the spots we had planned for photos were closed because of construction. We had to switch things up a bit, but it all came together better than I could’ve imagined, and we still ended up with so many sweet photos.

I got to do a quick photo session at my CrossFit gym & I’m officially adding event photography to my portfolio because this was so much fun

Still not over these 🤍✨

I was so nervous going into this day, but I’m so thankful they trusted me to capture it for them.

Stepping outside of my comfort zone has been one of the best things I’ve done this year, and this day reminded me why.

Not gonna lie, when I first started going through this gallery, I immediately picked apart all the things I could’ve done better. 😂 But the more I edited, the more I found myself smiling at them. & on top of that, hearing how much the bride loved them made all those nerves worth it.
