There is something about welcoming a new baby that makes time feel like it is standing still and flying by all at once. The sleepy stretches, tiny fingers and toes, the way your older babies suddenly look so grown up, and the feeling of having your entire world right there in your arms.

You don’t have to wait until everything feels perfect to document this season. You don’t need everyone looking at the camera or every child cooperating. Some of my favorite images are the ones that simply capture your family exactly as you are in those first few weeks together. Same spot, new baby, two years later 🤍

I had the joy of photographing this beautiful family when they were expecting their second baby, and now, two years later, they’re getting ready to welcome their third! There’s something so special about being invited back to capture these seasons of life as families grow and change. Getting to witness their story unfold and walk alongside them through all of life’s biggest moments is one of my favorite parts of this job. So grateful to be the one behind the camera for these memories!

Those first few weeks go by SO fast, and there is something so special about having these tiny details documented. The little toes, the sleepy stretches, the way they fit perfectly in your arms, and all the moments you’ll wish you could freeze forever. Newborn sessions are some of my absolute favorites because I get to capture not just your new baby, but your family becoming a family of 3, 4, 5… or more. Watching these three girls together brought back so many memories for me. I grew up as one of three girls, so watching these sisters welcome their newest little sister brought back so many memories. There is something so sweet about the bond sisters share. It’s loud and messy and full of love, and one day they’ll have a built-in best friend for life. It was such an honor to document the beginning of their story as a family of five.

Chase your toddler if you need to. Those little interactions are what make your gallery feel like your family, not just a posed portrait. My goal is always to create images that bring you right back to this season of life every time you look at them. 💕

You don’t have to know what to do during your newborn session. That’s my job. It’s completely normal to wonder if your baby will cooperate, if you’ll know how to hold them, or if you’ll feel comfortable in front of the camera. The truth is, the most beautiful moments are often the most natural. Holding your baby close, rocking them gently, and simply soaking them in creates timeless images like this. My goal is to guide you every step of the way so your session feels relaxed, unhurried, and true to this season of life. You don’t need to worry about posing or getting everything “just right.” You simply get to love on your baby while I preserve the moments you’ll never want to forget. 💕

Some sessions are extra special because they’re for family. This sweet crew is my husband’s brother and his beautiful, precious family. We are so blessed to have our children grow up together and their bond is so special to us! To capture this season of life for them is such a gift. Photographing the people I love is a reminder of why family photos matter so much. These moments can feel ordinary while you’re living them, but years from now they’ll tell the story of who your family was in this season. The way your little ones reached for your hand, the missing teeth, the belly laughs, and the hugs that happened without anyone asking. You don’t need a milestone or a special occasion to preserve this chapter. Sometimes the most meaningful reason is simply wanting to remember it exactly as it is. 💕

If you’re worried your baby won’t sleep during their newborn session, this is for you. The truth is they don’t have to. Newborn sessions aren’t about a perfectly sleepy baby. I follow your baby’s lead, allowing time for feeding, cuddles, diaper changes, and plenty of comforting. Some of my favorite images happen when your little one is wide awake, making eye contact or snuggling into mom and dad. Every baby is different, and that’s exactly how it should be. If you’ve been putting off booking because you’re worried your baby won’t “cooperate,” I promise you don’t have to stress. I’ve got you. 🤍
