CCR was founded in 1932. Our mission is to empower members to learn & grow their photographic craft. On June 16, 1932, the late J. Please join us!

Haden Hankins and William Edwin Booth started the Amateur Photographers’ Club – now known as the Camera Club of Richmond – to promote the art of photography in the central Virginia area. After more than 90 years of service to our community, the Club's original aims continue to be dedicated to the furtherance of photographic knowledge and to the thesis that photography is indeed a fine art. ision is to promote excellence in photography; inspiring our members to reveal the world around us, preserve memories and create works of art. Our Mission is to empower our members to learn and grow their photographic craft through education, activities, exhibits, critiques, mentoring, and competitions. All levels of experience are welcome! CCR meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except December). All meetings are held at Unity of Bon Air, 923 Buford Road, Richmond, VA. The meetings are also livestreamed to our diverse, virtual audience via Zoom. Doors open at 6 PM for networking and the meeting begins at 7 PM. In addition to monthly meetings, the club hosts frequent activities and educational seminars. These are scheduled through our MeetUp Group: www.MeetUp.com/CameraClubofRichmond.
