I’ve been quite on here lately & as some of you may already know my very special grandpa went to heaven yesterday morning. Though we rejoice in the fact that he is reunited with my grandma, his parents, family & loved ones who went before him and mostly Jesus we are grieving the life & love we had with him here on Earth.

Parkway Recollection started because of my grandma & grandpa & their love of creating memories & the memories made at their home on Parkway Drive.
A place that holds a special place in my families hearts.

I am taking some time off from work to be with my family & help with arrangements as well as processing & grieving. My response times may be slow right now & album deliveries may be delayed during this time.

If you had a Fall Mini this evening I already reached out to everyone to cancel those & for next weekends Fall minis I will be reaching out to clients as well once we have arrangements confirmed. If you have a regular session this week I will also reach out to you about possible rescheduling dates.

FALL MINI CLIENTS: i will reach out for rescheduling dates available as soon as I can so that you have options for your session before the leaves are gone.

For all my clients: thank you for being understanding, sympathetic & kind to me during this time. Your grace doesn’t go unnoticed & I promise I will get your sessions set up soon. Your patience is appreciated ❤️

Please continue praying over my family during this time. Our hearts are broken by the pain of losing him earth side but we are so thankful for the promise of heaven🙌🏼

Did you know?…

I will never post your session without your permission, kids or not involved but especially kids.

Everyone deserves the right to not have their photos shared all over the internet & that right is yours alone.

I will always ask if I can share & I want every client to feel comfortable enough to say NO if that’s what is on their hearts. I know this world is scary, I know the internet is scary & I know AI is scary.
So don’t ever feel the pressure to say yes, & always feel free to tell me ahead of a session what you’re comfortable with because communication is so important to me. If you don’t want photos posted at all or if you would rather ones without faces posted that’s fine too!

I value my clients and the privacy of their sessions.

I also know over the years of doing photography this consideration wasn’t always thought of in this industry including by myself and i apologize I just never thought the internet would be this dark but I remember we live in a broken world 😞

If I have taken and posted your photos in the past and you would like me to remove them I will gladly do so, no questions asked just message me anytime❤️

AND to those who feel comfortable with their images posted & shared that is okay too! We all have to make decisions that fit our lives and what’s in our hearts. I will never shame anyone either way because I know how fun it is sharing your photos you invested in for your friends and family to see & it’s fun for me to share my creativity online as well, it also allows other potential clients to visualize my work flow, but I also know the other side of it and want to respect everyone that steps in front of my lens and afterwards❤️

Remember it’s a personal decision and neither is wrong or right! I’m just here to respect whatever choice you make for your photos and sharing them with the world! 🌎

UPDATE FOR CLIENTS:

☀️First things first the last of summer minis will be sent out by Sunday night!

🐾Secondly dog portraits from the Helping Paws Project at Peak Dog Training will be posted here by Monday night for you all to download your pups pics.

📸Lastly, I am working on a few regular albums to get sent out this week as well & will be sure to text clients this week with delivery updates.

❤️ As far as correspondence I’m going to be really honest with everyone, my response times may be a little delayed moving forward so please bear with me as I navigate life right now.

❤️I am doing my best to keep up with work life balance & without going into too much detail I am focusing on spending time with my family because that is where I am needed right now. I don’t want this to affect my business in anyway if I can prevent that, so I am working hard to juggle both. If at any point moving forward my album delivery times seem to be taking a little longer I apologize in advance & PLEASE know I value you & your images & am working hard on keeping up with those promised timelines.

My clients are genuinely my friends & I couldn’t be more thankful for the support I have and continue having in this business. I know I’ve had some rough seasons the last couple years with Kwali passing, Hazels illness, my surgeries & so on but you all have never made me feel alone or like I need to chose between my personal life and my services I provide, for that I can’t say thank you enough.

Keep praying for my family & my grandpa. God has really blessed me & he keeps showing up even in the storms ❤️

Fall minis are live, I have a few spots still available on October 17th and I have four available for October 24th.

If you’re wanting a 30 min session or an hour session this fall I still have a few weekday evening sessions available in October so please reach out before those fill up!

UPDATES:

Obviously I didn’t post fall minis yesterday, to be honest I was so busy catching up on editing & corresponding with clients and had a session then went straight to the hospital to see grandpa.

I will have FALL MINIS posted by Friday evening! I just need to get a few things together then get the link ready.

There will be two options for October.

These are a great chance at getting pics for Christmas cards, gifts, or just updating your family pics for the year!
