Back to school sessions are always a vibe, but these are extra special because we were shooting at an in-home daycare. 📚🧸

This is one of the tiny humans I got to work with and listen… he was FEELING it. After I finished cleaning up all the practical stuff, he came right back over like “wait take a few more” and snapped out some extra photos.

This past weekend I did my first-ever vending event and I’m still smiling about it. 🤗

Big thank you to for having me at their 5th Annual Back-to-School Community Event. The way they showed up for the community was beautiful 👏🏾🙌🏾2,000 backpacks given away, 2,000 hamburgers & hotdogs, plus FREE haircuts 💈and FREE braids so the kids could head back to school feeling fresh and confident.

And the vibe? Top tier. Food on the grill by 🔥, bounce houses, local vendors, and community resources all in one place 🤗 just a whole day of love and support.

The turnout at my booth was amazing.🤩 Thank you to everyone who came out and got photos done 📸✨I appreciate you for trusting me to capture those back-to-school smiles and sweet family moments. I truly love being able to serve families and freeze these moments for y’all.

Also Shoutout to the music stayed right all day 🎶 🎧 I truly enjoyed my time, and I’m already looking forward to coming back next year.

I’m not even gonna lie… I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for somebody else’s birthday more than my own.

Sneak peek to this birthday session because she really did that 🙌🏾👏🏾💪🏾 booked a whole month in advance (as she should) and came ready. Now I’m over here counting down to September like I’m the one turning 27… and I’m sitting on WAY too many good photos trying to act normal.

And I have to make this a moment because this was my first shoot in my new home pop up studio and it honestly felt like a “wow… I really did this” kind of day. I’ve been putting this space together piece by piece, thinking through the vibe, the lighting, the flow, all of it. Getting to finally create in here with a real session was such a full-circle feeling. Everything came together, it felt comfortable, it felt creative, and it reminded me why I love what I do. I’m so proud of this new chapter and I cannot WAIT for y’all to see what I’m about to do in this space.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL MINI SESSIONS | AUG 15 ✏️

New grade. New backpack. New little personality loading. Let’s freeze this season exactly how it feels right now the gap-tooth smiles, the “I’m big now” confidence, and all the back-to-school excitement. These minis are quick, fun, and super kid-friendly (and yes… we’ll get the classic shot and the candid ones in between).

15 minutes • $50 • 5 edited photos
(Normally $80 — back-to-school special 😁)

Booking: $25 retainer due to lock in your spot.

You’ll get two backdrop options in studio:

📚🎒Backdrop A: “Bright + Playful Classroom” (best for little ones)

🍎⭐️Backdrop B: “Classic Locker + Chalkboard” (best for older kids)

Sitting or standing I’ll guide you the whole time.
Sitting options include: desk, bench, brown chair, brown stool, etc.

Bring whatever makes it “their” year: backpack, awards, special outfit, books, sports gear all welcome. And because we’re working with kids… pack a backup outfit just in case.

Sibling add-on:$10 per additional sibling (same time slot)

Big congratulations to this VSU grad! Finishing strong in Criminal Justice is a huge accomplishment the dedication it takes is no joke. And on top of that, balancing Track & Field too? That’s discipline, focus, and straight determination.

History majors just move different and she proved it (again).Huge congratulations to this Mary Baldwin History Major on such a big accomplishment Class of 2026, you did that!

This grad is a return client, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with her every time. Watching my clients come back for new milestones will never get old. We shot her college graduation photos at the Virginia War Museum and the vibe was giving: confident, classic, and “I worked hard for this degree now watch me walk.” Clean backdrops, strong details, and a whole lot of main character energy.

Mother’s Day minis always hit different.
Watching a mama and her baby love on each other in real time? That’s the good stuff.

We kept it easy, we kept it fun, and we let the moments do what they do the little hand holds, the quick squeezes in between shots, and those “okayyyy y’all are being cute” moments that happen when nobody’s trying too hard.

And her son? A very serious, straight-faced young man. The kind that’s giving “I’m only here because I love my mom” energy… with the occasional soft little smirk if you catch him at the right second. Honestly, it made the sweet moments even sweeter.

That’s a wrap on Mother’s Day minis for this year, and I just want to say thank you to every mom who trusted me to capture y’all’s love. I truly appreciated working with all of you and I’m already looking forward to next year.

Kim and Baby D’s Mother’s Day mini is your reminder that a fussy baby is never a problem over here. When they arrived, Baby D was not feeling the whole “let’s take cute pictures” plan… so we pivoted. I scooped him up, kept the camera going, and rocked him to sleep like an honorary auntie on duty.

And honestly, it worked out perfectly because while he was getting his little reset, Momma got to stay in front of the camera and get some beautiful solo shots. After a mini nap, he woke up near the end and gave us a few good ones before he dozed back off to close the session out. Real life, real love, and still a gallery full of sweet moments.
