Fall Mini update! 🍂😍

SHE IS TRIMMED OUT AND PAINTED! 🙌🏼

Now I just need to wait for the paint to dry and for that gorgeous golden-hour lighting this evening so I can finally take the promo pictures. 📸

I’m seriously so excited to see this whole setup come together. I’ve had the vision in my head for so long, and seeing the bench finished and painted makes it finally feel REAL. 🥹

A few days ago it was literally just a pile of lumber in our garage, and now look at her! 😍

Next stop: decorating, golden-hour photos, and FINALLY getting Fall Minis posted! 🍁🫶🏼

I can’t wait for you guys to see the finished setup! 🥰

Fall Mini update! 🍂📸

The bench is FINALLY built! 🙌🏼

I still have a few finishing touches to knock out tomorrow—adding the trim, doing a little sanding, and then getting her painted white—but the hard part is officially DONE.

This project definitely took me longer than I expected. 😅 We had to clear some space in the garage after finishing another slightly massive project… building both of our kids new bed frames with storage drawers. Those took up a whole lot of real estate while we were working on them. 😂

Tomorrow the bench gets finished, sanded and painted, and with any luck I’ll have Fall Minis posted and ready to book by Thursday at the latest! 🍁

Thank you guys so much for being patient with me. 🫶🏼 I’m so excited to finally put this whole setup together because I’ve had the vision in my head for MONTHS, and we’re almost there! 🙌🏼

Graham | Senior Session

I absolutely adored working with Maeley! She was such a joy to photograph. I loved watching her reaction each time I showed her the back of the camera and seeing her confidence grow throughout the session. There's something so special about watching a senior begin to see themselves the way the people who love them already do.

She has some pretty amazing plans for after graduation, too! Maeley plans to attend school to become an RN and hopes to eventually work in ER. I absolutely love hearing what my seniors dream of doing after graduation and getting to document this little piece of their story before they head into that next chapter of their lives. ❤

At one point, her mom mentioned that Maeley had hoped we might be able to get a few pictures with the horses and goats in the background.

Well... around here, you don't have to ask me twice. 😂

Willow came over first for some attention, and the second Brownie realized Willow was getting pets, she made a beeline over too. 😂 Before long, all three horses had wandered over and apparently decided they were participating in senior portraits that evening.

By the time we headed down to the pond for another set of pictures, I could hear Mom and her friend oohing and ahhing over the animals. Maeley laughed and said, "My mom is totally loving this. She loves goats." 😂 I think it's safe to say Mom may have enjoyed the farm portion of the session just as much as we did.

This is one of those sessions that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. I get to meet these incredible young people right as they're preparing to step into adulthood, hear about their plans and dreams, help them feel confident and beautiful in front of my camera, and create something that celebrates who they are in this moment.

Congratulations on your senior year Maeley! I can't wait to see where life takes you, and I have a feeling there's going to be one pretty amazing ER nurse at the end of this next adventure. ❤

Well… this Missouri heat and humidity have been no joke. 😮‍💨 😅 I hope everyone is staying hydrated!

I wanted to give everyone a quick Fall Mini update!

They are happening, and I’ll have all the details posted this week!

I had a very specific vision in mind this year… a setup in our hay barn with a white stained wooden bench, hay bales, white and sage green pumpkins, lanterns, cozy pillows… the whole warm, rustic fall vibe.

The only problem? I couldn’t find the bench I had pictured in my head.

So naturally… I decided to build it. 😂

Honestly, that’s kind of how things usually go around here. If I can’t find exactly what I’m envisioning, my husband and I end up making it ourselves. The amount of props we’ve built over the years is honestly kind of ridiculous. 🤣

We already made our Lowe’s trip, the lumber is here, and now it’s time to bring this setup to life!
